Open Eyes

24 March to 23 June 2018
Tannery Gallery

This exhibition explores, through the art collection made over the past fifty years by Lindsay Evans, the role of private purchasers in supporting visual culture. Lindsay Evans says he looked at art with open eyes and ‘succumbed to urge and impulse.’ The exhibition emphasises his interests in sense of place, industrial communities and significant Welsh artists. Among the artists represented are Brenda Chamberlain, Alfred Janes, Ceri Richards, Mollie Winterburn and Ernest Zobole.
