Can I visit with a group of people?
Yes, but due to the layout of our galleries, being socially distanced isn’t always possible, therefore everyone in your group must live together as one household.
There is no restriction on how many people can be in a household group.

Will there be other groups visiting at the same time?
Only one household is allowed per timeslot.
There may be a group in another part of the building but we have zoned the galleries by floor and area, so that you do not come into contact and surfaces will be cleaned in areas between each group.

How long is a timeslot?
Each timeslot is one hour, with 30 minutes available to view the ground floor exhibition before moving to the upstairs and Tannery galleries.
If you think you might need longer please let us know when booking.

How do I book a visit?
The easiest and quickest way to book is to give us a call on 01654 703355.

Is there an entry fee?
Entry to the museum remains free, though we encourage visitors to make a donation to enable us to continue our varied exhibition programme.

Why do I have to book in advance?
Due to social distancing safety measures, and the size and layout of our galleries, only a limited number of people will be able to visit at any one time. We have introduced a booking system to ensure fairness and avoid long waits for visitors.

Can I just turn up on the day without booking?
If you turn up without a booking we will attempt to find you an available timeslot but we can’t guarantee this will be possible.
To avoid disappointment we advise you to book in advance.

Can I visit the coffee shop?
Yes, Siop Goffi Y Tabernacl will be open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10am to 3pm.
Space will be limited so it is advisable to book by emailing or through their Facebook page.

Why do you want me to wear a face covering?
Welsh Government guidelines require visitors to our museum to wear face coverings.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to those not wearing a face covering unless they have health or well being reasons.

When will you have performance events again?
We are following the advice of the Welsh Government, and until they advise differently, performance events cannot yet take place. We will provide an update on this as soon as we are able to.
